⭐⭐Congratulations to Jonny at St Giles Trust ⭐⭐
You have been nominated for our latest Volunteer Spotlight award.
Here’s what Hannah Williams, Volunteer Coordinator for St Giles said:
“Jonny volunteers with St Giles as a mentor on the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence. The project is a focussed deterrence programme that aims to reduce violence in Coventry and Wolverhampton.
Jonny uses his lived experience to educate others and help guide them towards a brighter future. Jonny meets with his mentees to check in on wellbeing, share advice, build confidence and help mentees plan towards their goals.
Jonny always turns up with enthusiasm, compassion, a positive attitude, and a smile. He is the kind of person that can talk to anyone and make a connection. Jonny is always keen to take on extra training opportunities and has made massive strides in his digital skills and mentoring training.
Jonny is dedicated to reducing violence and has made a tangible impact on the lives of young people and his community.
I am so proud of Jonny’s journey and we at St Giles are very lucky to have him volunteering with us. He is an absolute star!”
Great work Jonny – what an inspiration!
