Support Us
Find out how you can help make a difference
Voluntary Action Coventry is a local charity established in 1957 to support voluntary and community activity in the city. In recent years our financial support from central and local government sources has significantly reduced/ended and we are largely dependent on applications to charitable trusts and fundraising activities to ensure our sustainability.
- Funds raised will enable us to:
- Provide our volunteer brokerage service, helping people to find a suitable volunteering role where they can use their time and skills to help others.
- Run our Improving Lives programme which focuses on supporting people with barriers/complex needs to move towards volunteering/community participation.
- Support our Chat Central project that enables people experiencing loneliness and isolation to make new and sustainable relationships that improve their health and well-being.
VAC is always grateful for the generosity and support that many organisations and individuals locally provide to help with the delivery of our community events, projects, and general running costs.
VAC projects and events support those who are disadvantaged, vulnerable, lonely or isolated, we also host celebratory occasions that recognise the wonderful work of volunteers and the difference that they make to bringing help, friendship and happiness where it is most needed.
How you can help us:
Sponsorship is a great way to extend kindness into the community be it by raising funds, having staff involved in events or providing goods and services that support our projects.
Alternatively, you may wish to make a one-off donation or consider a bequest in your will. A one-off donation or leaving a gift in your will can ensure that VAC continues its work in Coventry, tackling disadvantage, loneliness, and social isolation. You can make a bequest to Voluntary Action Coventry with a simple addition or codicil to an existing will. If you are a UK resident, your legacy will be free of tax and may reduce your inheritance tax bill.
